Power Boat Section

Roaring 40s
Thank you to the club volunteers who made the 2022 event a success. Based on the positive feedback from the powerboat teams who make such an investment to get here and by the public’s clear enjoyment of the racing spectacle we are hopeful of running the event again in 2022-23 season.  Once again we will be asking for volunteers so please keep an eye on the club newsletter. It’s a great way to get involved and up close to the action.
This year’s racing is targeting 17/18 June although that is subject to confirmation. Questions? contact the Power Boats section lead, Don Weir on 021 056 5399

Jet skis and leisure power boats
With our growing number of jetskis and leisure boats on the water there is an open question as to how the club can support you. This could be in the form of facilitating safety learning, or organising fun events in the Bay or …?  If you are interested in exploring this then contact Don on 021 056 5399.
Or watch out for Simon Hitchcock at some of the club regattas where Can-am have often provided sea-doo safety boat support (much appreciated!)
